Welcome to your new School site
Congratulations and welcome to your new school site. Don't panic :-) Everything is easy, if you find it hard you're probably doing something wrong.
- To start posting and editing this site please log in. Your email address and password are the same as the ones used to create this website.
- After logging in, click the 'Edit' link at the end of this post to edit this text (you'll see it once you've logged in). To create a new post, click the News command in the Editors only menu at the very, very top of this page (only logged in editors can see the Editors only menu).
- You can add pages, we call them stories, though most of your efforts on this site will probably be posting news items to this front page. Remember to add links and thumbnails to make your news more interesting.
- This first news item is set as yesterday, your next new one will be
today. It will eventually scroll off this front page or you can mark it
as deleted, just go to the discussion group, open the discussion group
version of it and there's a yellow admin box at the foot of the page...
This is the way to delete any news item, story, message or comment.
- This is your site. You can change almost everything about it, including its name, appearance, membership and bulletin features. The Prefs command in the Editors only menu is the place to start.
- Visit the Getting Started page on the Manila-Newbies site. It provides an overview and introduction to the different kinds of projects you can do with Manila. The Manila-Newbies site is there to help you work with Manila and to learn from each other.
- There are also PDFs to download: the Don't Panic 2 page (230k) and the Training Manual at 51 pages (2.8Mb).
- Finally, please bookmark this page, or, add a folder full of bookmarks. This is your website. Be sure you can find it again. Any problems call us on 01952 271 671. Remember to text us on 07886 301 767, so we can help you as you actually work on your site.
